Reptile Surveys

With the weather getting warmer at last, our native reptiles are becoming more and more active – emerging from hibernaculas, basking, hunting and getting ready for the breeding season.

Rough grassland is a highly productive habitat for reptiles, offering the ideal combination of refuge and hunting opportunities. Other habitats used by our reptiles include hedgerows, ponds, ditches, woodland and rocky waste grounds.

Now is an excellent time to get started with any reptile surveys you might need to undertake in order to get your development plans approved. If your site features any of the habitats described above, get in touch for some advice on how best to take them into account.
